Marine Transgressions is a 2-day environmental humanities conference that will take place on June 7-8th 2018 at the Create Centre, located on the banks of the River Avon by the entrance to the historic floating harbour in Bristol, UK. A collaboration between the Environmental Humanities Research Centres of the University of Bristol and Bath Spa University, it seeks to examine the shifting relations between bodies of water and human activity across a range of disciplines. It will researchers together from across the globe to examine the cultural, historical, and political aspects of human and nonhuman interactions with the world’s waters.

Confirmed Speakers include Prof Helen Rozwadowski and Tim Dee.
