We are seeking energetic part-time research assistants located in Adelaide, Brisbane, Perth and Sydney to work with a team of six researchers on an integrated and comparative historical study of the provision, use and cultures of water in Australia’s five largest cities from 1900 to the present. The project aims to produce new understandings of the historical drivers of today’s urban water systems, and how these systems have historically impacted on human and ecological welfare. The positions in Brisbane and Perth are for an equivalent of 0.5 days per week, and in Sydney and Adelaide for 1 day per week, from early 2018 through to mid-2020. Previous RA experience in a relevant discipline (history, urban studies, geography etc.) is desirable. Please direct inquiries to project leader Andrea Gaynor on [email protected]
