Dr Johanna Conterio, Lecturer in History at Flinders University, has won a fellowship at the Rachel Carson Center for Environment and Society at the  Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität, Munich. Johanna won a fellowship for her project ‘Greening Moscow: Urban Planning, Social Engineering and the Politics of Green Space in the USSR, 1931-1941’, and will be joining a research cluster at the center on ‘Urban Environments’ for eight months, beginning in May 2020. Johanna is looking forward to meeting many other Australian scholars at the center.
