Network members Dr Karen Twigg and Dr Alessandro Antonello recently presented their research on aspects of gender and environmental histories to the Melbourne Feminist History Group. Karen’s paper was titled “A life full to brimming: farm women’s experience of abundant rain in the 1950s” and Alessandro’s paper was titled “Mary Alice McWhinnie and the Antarctic, ocean, and American environments”.
