Consider supporting the AANZEHN in 2026 with a donation!

At the end of 2024 the AANZEHN acknowledged that it had been a tough year for many of our colleagues in the university sector. Unfortunately, 2025 brought even more challenges for universities in Australia and around the world. As opportunities, jobs, and in-person events have dwindled in number, our newsletter hasn’t been as full this year as it has been in the past. Nevertheless, we hope that the AANZEHN has continued to create a space of connection amidst uncertain times.

In order to continue our work into 2026, we are putting out a call for donations. The AANZEHN is an entirely volunteer-run organisation, but there are some expenses involved in maintaining the network’s activities, including the upkeep of the website, and our membership in the International Consortium of Environmental History Organizations.

In recent years, these annual fees have increasingly been paid with donations from Network members – they were previously funded by a few individuals associated with the Network. If you are able to spare some change as 2025 draws to a close, we recommend the following annual donation amounts:

  • Waged: $25
  • Student/Unwaged: $10

  1. Log in to your PayPal account
  2. Click ‘send money’
  3. Add the AANZEHN Paypal email address: aanzehn@gmail.com
  4. Add donation amount
  5. Complete transaction

Please note that donations are not tax deductible.

In addition to donations, we encourage you to continue engaging with the AANZEHN in the new year by sharing our newsletter with others, sending through your news, opportunities and events for us to share, and contributing to our publication round ups.
