Libby Robin, Sverker Sörlin, and Paul Warde launched their new book The Future of Nature at the European Society for Environmental History conference in Munich on 22 August. Gregg Mitman (University of Wisconsin-Madison) introduced the book.

Through an array of texts and commentaries that examine the themes of progress, population, environment, biodiversity and sustainability from a global perspective, it explores the meaning of the future in the twenty-first century.
