La Trobe University School of Humanities is offering a three-year PhD scholarship to research any aspect of the environmental history of mining in Australia.

This scholarship is funded by an Australian Research Council Future Fellowship held by Associate Professor Clare Wright, entitled Red Dirt Dreaming: Re-Imagining the History of Mining in Australia, which will examine key events in Australia’s past through the social and cultural milieu of mining communities, environments and industries.  The successful candidate for this postgraduate scholarship will be based in History.
