Join Prof. Grace Karskens (UNSW) and Dr Margaret Cook (USC) in conversation with A/Prof Ruth Morgan on the recent and deep histories of floods in eastern Australia, reflecting on their award-winning books People of the River (2020) and A River with a City Problem (2019). This event is part of the Global Conversations series of the International Consortium of Environmental History Organizations, supported by the ANU’s Centre for Environmental History.
About the Speakers
Grace Karskens is Professor Emerita of History in the School of Humanities and Languages at the University of New South Wales.
Margaret Cook is a lecturer in History at the University of the Sunshine Coast.
Ruth Morgan is Associate Professor in the School of History at the Australian National University and Director of the ANU Centre for Environmental History.
