Katrin Kleeman, ‘Ocean History Between Germany and Australia’
Dr Katrin Kleeman will present a paper titled ‘Ocean History between Germany and Australia: Georg Neumayer, the Flagstaff Observatory in Melbourne and the German Maritime Observatory in Hamburg’, for the ANU Centre for Environmental History’s seminar series on 6 October. This seminar will explore the development of knowledge about the ocean, navigation, and maritime meteorology in the 19th century. The seminar will be held online via Zoom at 6pm AEDT on Thursday 6 October.
