Environmental History Project supported by Australian Academy of the Humanities

Congratulations to Dr Jess Urwin, the Network’s Website and Newsletter Editor, on being awarded a publication subsidy grant from the Australian Academy of the Humanities. The Academy is supporting her book Contaminated Country: Nuclear Colonialism and Aboriginal Resistance in Australia, published this week in the US by the University of Washington Press. An Australian edition of the book will be published by Melbourne University Press in early 2026. Seven other projects were supported by the Academy.

The Australian Academy of the Humanities awards its publication subsidy grants annually, an important scheme to ensure high-quality Australian humanities work is published.

Congratulations to all this year’s recipients.
