The University of Bristol Environmental Humanities Summer School 2026 is now open for applications!

Our ‘City of Nature’ Summer School empowers students to examine human relationships with nature, consider why stories about our wild world matter, and explore how we can build hope in the face of environmental crisis.

Taught across three weeks from 5 July to 25 July 2026, students will consider nature across different scales: from the vibrant city of Bristol where the programme takes place, to the planetary.
